Educational Experience at the Monkey Island Rescue Center
Live a unique experience in a consevation project located in the heart of Bocas del Toro, where monkeys rescued from different areas of the archipelago have found a safe and protected home.
During this experience,you will be able to observe, connect, and interact responsably with different species of monkeys that have been rehabilited and are now adapted to human contact. Due to their history, these animals cannot return to their natural habitat, which is why Monkey Island has become their permanent sanctuary.
Guided by fracine, founder and caretaker of the project, you will learn the stories of each monkey, the work behind wildlife rescue, and the importance of preserving ecosystems.
More than a tour, this is a conscious experience that invites you to value, respect, and support conservation in the region.
